From the first time we met Julia and Hampton for coffee in Greenville we knew this was going to be one of our favorite weddings and we were right! Their Charlotte Country Club wedding was so beautiful! One of the most beautiful things about any wedding is getting to hear the backstory of how the bride and groom met and the impact they’ve had on those around them. Julia and Hampton’s ceremony was one of the most meaningful that we’ve had the opportunity to attend! The pastor shared how each of them has had an impact on his kids and family. You can feel the truth of that statement just by spending a little bit of time with Julia and Hampton. They have a joy about them that touches everyone they come into contact with!

Amazing Light

Spring is definitely the best season for a Charlotte, NC wedding! The sun was out and the flowers were blooming! The day started at Julia’s parent’s house where she and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready. The natural light streaming through the windows at Julia’s makeup session was perfect! It made for one of the most beautiful bride prep locations I’ve been able to film. When I talk about how natural light makes a makeup session look amazing, check out Julia’s location as a prime example 🙂

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the newly renovated Westminster Presbyterian Church, which was actually the same church where Julia’s parents got married. We then moved over to Charlotte Country Club for the reception where the South Carolina based funk band, ‘The Mighty Kicks’ rocked the house until late in the night. After the band finished playing and the guests streamed outside for the final exit, Julia and Hampton shared a final dance alone in the empty reception hall. It was a beautiful finishing touch on an already incredible day!!

Julia and Hampton, we wish you all the best and are so excited for this new journey in front of you guys! We hope you love your film as much as we enjoyed crafting it!
