It’s been so much fun meeting with wedding venues for this blog series! A couple of weeks ago, we had the privilege to travel down i85 to visit a beautiful outdoor venue. The Oaks wedding venue sits on a charming piece of land out near Anderson, SC. It’s close enough to Interstate 85 to be convenient to hotels for your guests to stay, but also far enough away so there are no sounds except for the chirping of birds and wind rustling through the fields. As you pull onto the property you are ushered down a beautiful long driveway that winds through beds of flowers and green meadows. There is something so peaceful about these types of country wedding venues 🙂
The venue itself sits on the edge of a big rolling meadow and a small lake. These natural features make for a variety of beautiful video and photography locations.
Inside, you find the large main ballroom that has room for over 250 guests. Off to the side of the ballroom is a bridal suite adorned in beautiful French style interior design. There is also a groom’s room, complete with leather furniture and a TV. Very manly!
The grounds light up at night with hundreds of light bulbs hanging from strings over head and wrapped around trees. The spacious back porch has a fireplace that would be perfect to use as a s’mores bar for your guests and warmth on a cool evening.
