In March, we had the opportunity to be a part of The Scouted Wedding which was put on by The Scout Guide Greenville. We were so excited when Keaton, the editor of TSGG asked us to be a part of the event! The day was full of amazing people, delicious cakes, and elegant floral arrangements all at the beautiful Hotel Domestique. If you’ve never been to Hotel Domestique, check out the tour and the blog post we wrote about them. It’s one of the most beautiful spots in Greenville for a wedding, or just a night away with your spouse.
Fashion Show
The event started with a fashion show out on Hotel Domestique’s beautiful patio. Models came down the runway one after the other styling the latest trends and fashions in the wedding industry. Uptown Entertainment provided the musical vibes as we saw fashions from Bohemian, Modern and Classic wedding styles. The greenery and floral arrangements from Statice Floral really made the space even more vibrant! Check out a few of the pictures from the talented Angela Zion!
Three Styled Rooms
After the fashion show, guests had the opportunity to walk through 3 different styled rooms. They were put together by some of Greenville’s best wedding planners and florists.
Boho
Our good friends at Upstate I Do were behind the lovely Bohemian room that was styled with organic feeling textures and floral arrangements. I loved the motif of using flower pots for seating charts and a broken piece of pottery as a name plate for each seating. It was so unique and creative! Kara Nash Designs put together an absolutely beautiful array of flowers that brought the whole room together. I wish you could smell this picture, because it was like stepping into an outdoor garden. Couture Cakes of Greenville showed off their confectionary prowess with a white cake adorned with a hand-lettered quote in gold that said, “Love makes the tamest spirit wild and the wildest spirit tame.” The room did an amazing job of capturing the Boho style and spirit!
Classic
Meg and Taylor from Oliver Hooper Events put together a stunning classic wedding showcase in the front room of the Hotel. Two huge windows filled the room and lit the the table as it overflowed with elegance. Each place setting was beautifully rimmed with gold and sat on top of a custom monogrammed napkin. Everything on the table was centered around a lovely floral arrangement by Urban Petals that filled the room with green and pastel colored glory. And finally the cake! Jonathan Caleb Cake designed a masterpiece complete with icing details that looked like distressed ceramic tiles. I’m always blown away by how lifelike cake artists can make their details look!
Modern
Bri and Ali from Upstate I Do were also the masterminds behind the Modern Room. It just goes to show how talented this crew is! They were able to pull together two different rooms with two completely different styles in one day! The whole room burst with bold and rich colors. Katelyn Pinner Studio cultivated a rich tapestry of color and flowers that really drew you in when you entered the room. The blood oranges and blackberries that were spread across the table runner were my favorite design pieces. I love the unique idea to use fruit as decor! Tessa Pinner crafted a beautiful cake with some of the most life like sugar flowers I’ve ever seen!
