No threat of rain could dampen the spirits at Wavering Place on this beautiful, spring day!
If you know me (Matt) you know I love rain! There’s something about rain that adds excitement to an already exciting day. Even more amazing is when the clouds clear and the sun shines through just in time for the ceremony. Garrett and Erin’s wedding day did just that and turned out to be beautiful!
Getting Ready
Wavering Place has a beautiful, rustic bridal cottage that sits apart from the main house. It’s one of the most beautiful getting ready locations we’ve ever seen. One of the things we loved about Erin was her unquenchable joy. She had one of the best senses of humor. The whole day was filled with laughter and smiles as Erin and her bridesmaids got ready.
The laughter turned to tears of joy as Erin and Garrett had their first look. You could see how much Garrett loved his bride by the way he looked at her. They have such a peace in each other’s presence that is so beautiful to see!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was located right in front of the mansion at Wavering Place. It was set under a huge Sperry tent that diffused the sunlight beautifully. It couldn’t have been more perfect! This venue was literally a dream. I think it’s safe to say that Wavering Place has become one of our favorite venues!
The Reception
The reception area at Wavering Place is magical! Not only was there another large Sperry tent setup for eating and dancing, but there’s also a separate, brand new barn. Here all the food was beautifully displayed and guests helped themselves at their leisure.
One of our favorite parts of the evening was when Erin’s brothers got up on stage and sang a song for the newlyweds. They choose the classic hit, “Lean On Me.” It was definitely a crowd pleaser and I’m sure a memory Garrett and Erin will never forget.
To The Newlyweds
Garrett & Erin, we’re so thankful you chose us to be your videographers! We had so much fun getting to know you guys and working with you on your wedding day. Everything was so beautiful, but seeing the way you love, care and cherish each other was the best part. Marriage is going to be such a joy for you two and we wish you nothing, but the best!
