We always love traveling for weddings! It’s so inspiring to be in a new environment and in some cases a new climate (Lowcountry South Carolina). Jeremy and Michelle’s wedding took place in Monck’s Corner, SC, not too far from the quaint yet bustling streets of historic downtown Charleston. It’s always a blast to work with two people who are really excited about their video! We got so much footage during our creative film session, I couldn’t help but use almost all of it in the final film!
Jeremy is the live video coordinator for University of Charleston athletics and he flies around the country doing freelance live video production work. Michelle is a Manager at Kate Spade NY in Charleston which is naturally why she wore Kate Spade shoes with her dress (you’ll see those in the film). I hope she got that employee discount! 😃
Getting Ready
The day started at Michelle’s parents house in Goose Creek, SC. We opened up all of the window shades to let in that glorious natural light and got to work with the sound of a Jason Mraz Pandora channel playing in the background. Everyone was so kind and welcoming! Michelle’s dad even packed us a cooler of water bottles for the day so we wouldn’t keel over in the sweltering heat. Michelle’s little cousin was hilarious and would jump in and out of camera shots loudly saying, “Cheese!!!”.
The Ceremony
We then headed over to the church where we filmed Jeremy getting ready and the bridal gown shots with Michelle’s sisters and Mom. After the first look with both Jeremy and Michelle’s dad, it was ceremony time! The sanctuary at Monck’s Corner First Presbyterian was so beautiful! Natural light streamed in from huge windows and bounced off of the white walls creating a glowing atmosphere. Where there is an abundance of natural light, I’m happy 😃 After the beautiful ceremony, they’re married! And now we’re off to Berkley Country Club.
The Reception
The bridal party entered the reception to the sound of Ben Rector’s “When I’m With You”, which is the same song you can hear in their film! The party lasted late into the evening before we all gathered outside for the sparkler send-off (I’m always a fan)! Just like that, Michelle and Jeremy were off to honeymoon in Mexico!
Michelle and Jeremy, thanks so much for having us document your day and celebrate with you guys! We were so blessed to be there and are so excited for your future as a married couple!
