I am so excited to share the first post of our favorite SC wedding venues series! This week’s featured venue is Windy Hill Barn.
Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to visit the brand new Windy Hill Barn out in Simpsonville, SC. I knew it was going to be amazing, but when I pulled up the driveway and saw the barn sitting in the midst of a beautiful green field, I was sold! It’s not every day that a newly constructed building and property is built exclusively for hosting weddings and events. That’s what Windy Hill Barn is all about. This is their first wedding season and I know their business is going to take off after word gets out about this place.
When you book at Windy Hill, you have all of the necessary amenities for the modern, rustic wedding. Inside you have grand iron chandeliers that make the wood tones of the walls pop with warm colors. The building is complete with an a/c & heating system, catering kitchen, bride’s room and men’s/women’s restrooms. Pretty much everything you need for an amazing wedding is on the property!
There is plenty of room to hang out on the back patio. I especially loved the gas fire pit which would be perfect during those cool Spring and Fall evenings. There are also traditional fire pits a little bit off into the meadow where you can set up a s’mores bar for your guests. Even the parking lot adds to the unique beauty of the property! The lot has string lights hung the entire length of the lot so that guests can find their cars in the dark. You also have your pick of amazing ceremony locations, such as in front of a beautiful rock wall, out in the field, next to the windmill or really anywhere on the property.
