Merry Christmas, friends!
We are currently in Goldsboro, NC taking the whole week off to celebrate with our family. It’s always a festive time of year with trips to Krispy Kreme, tasty family dinners, and of course, the annual car ride around town to see Christmas lights! We don’t live close to family so it’s always a treat to get to spend time these special people.
Why We Love Christmas
Christmas is by far our favorite time of year because it’s the season of Hope!
No matter what is going on in life, we can rest in the steadfast hope of Christ. That’s not just a cliche saying to make us feel better. Christmas is the season when God acted on our behalf and stepped into our brokenness. In the midst of all the mess, God came to us in the form of a child to redeem us. And even though we deserve none of God’s favor, He freely gave it to us through his son, Jesus! The best present of all.
It’s easy to forget the reason for the season in the midst of everything going on. Today we’re reminded once again to turn our eyes and our hope to Jesus!
Looking Back On 2017
2017 was by far THE best year we’ve ever had! The Lord blessed us with some many opportunities to tell so many couple’s wedding stories. To celebrate we put together a short film of our favorite shots from 2017. Be on the look out; we’ll be posting it on New Year’s Eve!
Meet Our Fam
Before we let you go, we want to take some time and introduce you to some of our family. We love these people so much and are so thankful for their love and support in everything we do. They are some of the most quality people you’ll ever meet, but of course, we’re probably biased 🙂
Matt’s oldest sister, Ellen, with her husband, Chris, and their three beautiful daughters, Olivia, Piper and Camille. They are child-rearing experts!
