Last fall we got to be apart of our first styled shoot at Lonesome Valley in Cashiers, NC! I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the most beautiful spots for a wedding that I’ve ever seen. Lonesome Valley is nestled in a spectacular green valley surrounded by towering rock faces and cool mountain streams. There are perfect spots for ceremonies and portrait locations in any direction you turn.
Because of our talented friends, Chris Isham, Upstate I Do and ModFete, this shoot was picked up by the fine art wedding blog, Wedding Sparrow! Make sure to browse through some of the images from the shoot below!
Tessa Pinner, who made the cake, wrote a beautiful description for the scene:
“The complex colors of early autumn in Lonesome Valley, NC set the tone for this editorial. Dusty plum, bisque, and warm ecru weave from the changing mountainside down into the table spread. Bone-white chairs create a stark contrast in the still-green field, and the white is reflected in lush punctuation marks of pampas grass for the ceremony centerpiece. The bride’s gown also offers dynamic tension with its mysterious lace overlay and demure lines in front, but revealing drama in back. The evening air is suspended between the sultry heaviness of summer and the crisp chill of fall, making it the perfect time for her to revel in the glorious natural surroundings. A dance in the field, a quick step in the river, and a quiet moment of reflection by the lake.”
